We actually don't have a name for this salsa or condiment... or whatever you want to call it.... But we. put. this. _____. on. everything.
Nachos, tacos, burritos, breakfast burritos, grilled chicken, eggs, salads... you name it.
You're getting the theme of how we eat here in our house, right?
Maybe it's our Tex-Mex roots ... or the summers my husband spent in Mexico growing up but we love the fresh spicy flavor of this salsa. A salsa which is now named after the bowl it's served in.
It's important to me to learn as much about my clients before we do a photo session and given the info I've collected.. I thought this would be a good one to share.
It's a great addition to our Annual Christmas Eve Enchilada night!
- one bunch fresh cilantro
- one small white onion
- juice of one fresh lime
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar or honey
- salt and pepper
- one or two fresh jalapeño (optional)
This is easy. There really aren't measurements, it's just a matter of finding the right balance for your taste. Chop and mix ingredients together and let it sit in the refrigerator for a few hours to tame the onions and let the flavors mesh. Serve with chips or add to literally anything.
